Music in the Park: The Hard Times Band

Final concert in the series! Help us close out the summer and bring the whole family for an evening of great bluegrass music. Franklin County Public Library Live Storytime

The Franklin County Public Library has installed a permanent StoryWalk at the Summit View Business Park in Rocky Mount. A StoryWalk displays an illustrated children’s story — literally a book taken apart — along an outdoor walking route. The trail is approximately a quarter-mile long on a flat, crushed-stone path that surrounds the pond near the FCPL’s 24-hour library kiosk. The inaugural book at the Summit View StoryWalk is “Sheep Take a Hike.” Join us for a storytime adventure!

Saturday, Sept. 10 Homegrown Music Series This homegrown event is co-hosted by the Town of Rocky Mount and Twin Creeks Distillery and will take place every second Saturday at the Rocky Mount Train Depot. The evening will start with an open jam from 5:30-6:30 p.m., allowing anyone who wants to bring an instrument a chance to sit in and play a tune. A brief intermission will take place from 6:30-7 p.m. and we encourage folks to visit the local food truck parked out front. The band will play from 7-9 p.m. This is a community event for all ages. No alcohol will be on-site.
